Canada has declared May as Asian Heritage Month to honor the contributions of Canadians of Asian descent. This LEGACY poster pays tribute to the history of Chinese Canadians. The main image features a Chinese woman standing before railroad tracks, symbolizing the building of the Canadian Pacific Railway (1863–1869), largely constructed by Chinese immigrant workers.

The poster also highlights Vivienne Poy, the first Canadian senator of Chinese descent; Douglas Jung, the first Chinese Canadian lawyer to appear before the BC Court of Appeal; Adrienne Clarkson, former Governor General of Canada; and David Lam, the first Chinese Canadian appointed to a vice-regal post.
